010 – FORMER GODS

I watched from the surface as our entire fleet fell.
Their distant cries of celebration fused with the screams of our injured and dying.
This is the song of war I remember most. I wish I didn't.

This painting feels like it was made a lifetime ago. Francois and I finished this one very early on in the project and it was a milestone for us working together. Its always important to find a great rhythm and process when you’re working on a big project. So much of the success of it comes down to so many factors (mostly communication). This piece really solidified our efforts and reminded us both that making art collaboratively is incredibly rewarding.
